for en uge siden kom min kære kusine hjem fra interrail gennem portugal og spanien med en helt frisk tattoo. jeg ærger mig lidt over, jeg ikke fik taget et billede af den, da jeg nu - af eksamens kedsomhed og som overspringshandling - er begyndt at kigge lidt rundt efter seje tattoz. efter jeg så min spanske internet veninde alexandras nye tattoo, blev jeg opmærksom på en helt ny slags tattoveringer: mexikanske dia de los muertos tattos! Dia de los muertos betyder "de dødes dag" og holdes hvert år i starten af november blandt de mellem amerikanske katolske lande. det er en dag, hvor man hylder og mindes de døde. der holder alle familierne en stor fest, hvor de spiser et helt specielt dødsdagsmåltid - med knogleformede brød og små sukkerhoveder til dessert! en del af maden ofres til ånderne ved særligt udsmykkede ofringssteder, hvor der ofte er dekoreret med skeletter som ham her:

jeg ved ikke helt præcis hvad det er, med de mexikanske dødningehoveder, der gør mig så glad, måske er det farverne eller bare selve stilen og alle de små symboler, dødningehovederne indeholder.

misforstå mig nu ikke, det er ikke fordi, jeg har nogen inderlig trang til at anskaffe mig en sådan, men jeg synes virkelig, de er flotte. det er nok ikke noget, jeg ville gå rundt med hele mit liv, men hvis de kunne vaskes af, kunne jeg måske godt tænke mig at have et lille sukker-dødningehoved lige under dér, hvor albuen bøjer...
