Er grunge tilbage? Det kunne godt lidt se sådan ud ...
Hos Alexander Wang dominerede støvede, mørke farver og simple materialer runway’en i år. Ikke så meget hokus-pokus udover en hel masse støv på catwalken, som de vredt udseende modeller kunne trampe op. De iturevne nylonstrømper sender mig totalt tilbage, til den ”punk” periode jeg gennemgik i 6.-7. klasse, som varede ca. lige så lang tid, som det tog mig at finde ud af, at Robert Smith fra The Cure er pisse irriterende. Hæhæ.
Hos Preen fortalte designerduoen Thea Bregazzi og Justin Thornton om deres inspiration til kollektionen – grungemusikeren og frontmanden fra Nirvana, Kurt Cobain, samt filmen ”9 ½ Weeks”. Sammen er det blevet til skovmands-tern og oversize jakker – ligesom Cobain, der ofte tog morgenkåbe på, når han gik på scenen, og Kim Basinger der i filmen lånte Mickey Rourkes alt for store frakke.

Allerede sidste år kunne man se den spæde start på grungebølgen, da Christopher Kane sendte sine modeller ned af runway’en iført flænsede cowboybukser, eller hvis man holdt lidt øje med Mary-Kate Olsens outfits (uvasket hår, tern, løse t-shirts og dræber-sko!). Til mig er grunge nok liiiidt for beskidt, men nogle elementer er da ganske brugbare. F.eks. støvlerne (gid jeg havde købt de Dr Martens støvler, dengang jeg overvejede dem i 7. klasse!) eller ternene (jeg har for længst hugget min fars skovmandsskjorter, hæ hæ). Men støvler kan man jo aldrig få nok af her op til efteråret, så derfor har jeg sammensat en kollage med støvler, som jeg synes er rigtig fine. Især dem fra Victoria’s secret, de er verdens bedste Marc by Marc ripoff!
